DigThisData Support and Knowledge Base

Step 1: Validate your data credentials

During the sign up process, you were prompted to select a default market and enter credentials for automated data ingestion (LCBO SOD, TBS SFTP, BC LDB Portal Credentials, Liquor Connect Credential, etc).  Validate that your data is flowing into Dig and if not, it's more than likely your credentials are incorrect.

Credentials can be set under your name in the Main Navigation Account Management

Step 2: Invite your initial users who will be needed for setting up the account.

These include individuals that have your active Accounts lists, Products lists, and QB Admin Access.

Step 3: Adding your Customer and Direct Products

Direct Products are your products THAT YOU SELL. All inventory is tied to this product no matter what channel you sell into or what price you sell it at. This is your Core Inventory Item.

Use Virtual Products to create alternate pricing for a core Direct product.

Info

Note: ONLY Core Direct Products can be used as a Retail Product for LCBO or TBS. Virtual Products should be created for On Premise sales.

Customers and Direct Products

Enabling Warehouse Management allows you to manage your inventory across multiple locations and is an enhancement to managing orders from all channels if you are processing orders through DigThisData.

Step 5: Setting up your Accounting Integration Support Article

If you are placing orders via DigThisData you will likely benefit from processing these orders into invoices via an accounting integration. DigThisData pushes products and pricing directly to your accounting software and offers the option of sending the invoice directly to the customer. You can bulk post to QBO, Sage, or Xero. In these articles, we will show you how to quickly integrate with an accounting integration and sync all your products.

Info
Note: In this process you will need to sync all Products, this includes deposits, discounts and promotional items.

Info
Note: Logistics Schedules are set as the default but can always be manually overridden if needed. All new orders will default to the Assigned Delivery Method.

DigThisData offers auto ingestions of all your DDVP portal orders. This is an immense amount of time. All your orders will appear in your manager order view. You can bulk create BOLs and post to QBO, Xero, Sage or another accounting integration. No more inputting orders manually, which frees up your team for more important work.

Navigate to your profile (top right of all page views)

Account Settings   Account Management Scroll down to Liquor Control Board of Ontario and click to expand the panel. Enter your DDVP credentials Set to Auto Ingest and Save.

Info
Note: Just below, you can do the same thing for The Beer Store (TBS) via an SFTP account. Notify TBS that you would prefer your orders delivered via XML as opposed to PDF and Dig will be able to auto-ingest your orders daily.

EDI connectivity is available for the LCBO Gateway but is currently not open for setup until the LCBO's FSM project is complete in 2026. Orders from the LCBO Gateway can be ingested via a CSV downloaded from the Gateway.
