FAQ: How can I change my user name that appears in the navigation?
User names that appear throughout the DigThisData application are taken from one of two places depending on what type of authentication users have registered with.
If a user registers with a third-party authentication provider (Google or Microsoft), the user name is the same user name that the third-party provider has on file.
If a user registers with a custom Email / Password combination, a user name will be generated using all characters before the '@' of the user's email address.
To change your user name that appears in the main navigation of the app, please contact support by creating a ticket.
Please include:
- the email registered to the account
- the desired user name

Altering your user name is not currently supported within the user interface of the application.
