Set up Geographic Territories
I want to be able to set up geographic regions or territories for my company, then assign representatives on a territory basis (i.e.: Hamilton, GTA West, GTA East, etc) with boundaries set by my company.
The purpose of this:
-Giving territories to reps allows for quick changes of service responsibilities.
-Makes substitution of area seamless
-Visualization of different individual representative is possible, or to see it by company assigned territory.
-Setting our own boundaries to areas gives us more control of our activities.
I am aware that we could use the territory name instead of a representative name on the "representative" field. The idea above is how we currently manage our territories.
Thank you

Already possible using Multiple Sales Reps

ok, thanks. Makes sense. Will do.

Yes, the emails must exists (that's why I mentioned using a 3rd party like GMail so you can easily set them up for free).
Actually, if you use your own email server, you could set up aliases that all point to the same address to receive the invites.
Just remember, you NEED TO BE LOGGED OUT OF THE APPLICATION TO ACCEPT AN INVITE.

Thanks for your reply,
Great idea this would work. But because GTA West is not a person, but rather a contained territory, it could not reply as the actual email destination cannot accept the invite. Unless there is a way to accept the invitation for it. Or if you could override and "insert" territories.
Thanks for considering,

This is already achievable.
1. Create "territory users" - create a new user with an email of GTAWest@company.com (you can create either company emails or use a third party service like GMail).
2. Since DTD support assigning multiple reps per location, assign your sales reps to their own territory, and ALSO assign the territory user created in the previous step.
Now you can segment reports by Sales Rep or by Territory which may or may not cover partial/multiple reps.
